Celebrate the Music

Angels Hearts n' Memories has done it again... some timeless beauties of memorable musical decades past.

I have chosen Poodle Skirt Cristena and created a quick and simple fun fold, Concertina Card.  I made a few adjustments to the size, but you can find the original tutorial here --> Beccy's Place.  In hindsight, I should've coloured in "bobby socks" instead of leggings but I think she's cute either way ;-)

Additional:

Be sure to check out the Angels Hearts n' Memories Shop for the other beauties from the May release (Rock Star Molly; Flapper Helen; and Flower Child Dawn).

Thanks for popping by!

No colouring!

What?!  You don't say lol.  Occasionally I surprise myself.  I often create cards for my Stampin' Up classes without colouring but there is always lots of stamping and techniques.  More and more colouring/painting is taking over.  This last couple of weeks have been busy and I just haven't been able to find the time or drive to lose myself in colouring but... I needed to be creative.  So I made a bunch of much-needed quick and clean thank you cards.

Supplies: Stampin' Up Butterfly and Dragonfly dies, Hexagon and Butterfly Embossing Folders and cardstock; Creative Basics dies; Crafters Companion, Sheena's A Little Bit Sketchy Orchids; decorative paper from my stash.

Sick?

Definitely love sick lol.

It's Sponsor Week with Bloobel Stamps at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group!  Join us for fun, inspiration and a special discount for members.

Once in a while I see an image (or two in this case) that helps me get the wheels turning with the design/creating process.  These images just needed to be paired together.  I have created a Valentine card but the All Shades of Green would be perfect for a Get Well card and Love Sick would be great for any "love" occasion.

I chose Bloobel Stamps, All Shades of Green and Love Sick

I've used Creative Basics Dies and Embossing Folders (I LOVE the deep, textured design I get from these folders; and I'm slightly [okay, a lot] addicted to the beautiful, clean stitching on the dies)

Supplies:
Images: Bloobel Stamps, All Shades of Green and Love Sick
Stampin' Up: cardstock, Sealed with Love Stamp Set (current), Word Play Stamp Set (retired), doily
Sizzix: Celebration Words dies
Decorative Paper from my never-ending stash
Coloured with Copics:
E50-51-21-11-BV20-YG01 (skin)
Y21-E23-27 (eyes)
E71-77-79 (hair)
R21-24-27 (hearts)
R81-83-85 (outfits)
E42-43-44 (ground)

That's it from me for now.  Hope to see you over at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group.

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

Couldn't have a more perfect image for a special Christmas card for my better half lol.

Lisa asked her Facebook Group, Bloobel Stamps - Digital Stamps Create and Share, for ideas for images and this was my idea.  I was thinking ahead to Christmas (ya, really... and this was back in September lol) and had this picture in my head of what I thought I might like to do for hubby.  The second I saw Lisa's rendition, I knew I had to have it.

It's been coloured up since October and I've been busy with other commitments and just didn't know what kind of card I wanted to create with it.  And then... it took me 2-3 days to create.  I'd have an idea, then dismiss it.  I'd have a layout in mind.  Didn't like.  A colour palette... nyah.  And so on.

This is a vertical step card.  Coloured with Copics, papers and cardstock are Stampin' Up, dies from various companies.  I created the sentiment in Word.

Hope you like it.

Merry Christmas to all of you!
