Must have stars

I've discovered a new-to-me challenge blog called Get Creative Challenges.  It's a great blog as there is so much variety in the style of cards and images used.  Great inspiration.

So this month's challenge is "must have stars" and I have chosen to colour up and create a project with "Wedding Day" from Cute as a Button digis.  Beautiful image.

I have coloured her with my medium of choice "Copics" and the cardstock and embellishments are mostly Stampin' Up product from my stash.

Make It Crafty Challenges

Here is Racer Rick.  The image really resonated with me as my husband is an avid RC vehicle
(trucks, cars, boats) hobbyist.  The elements in the shaker part are actual parts from some of his vehicles - apparently the one gear is pink as it designates the number of teeth/size.  Who knew lol?

So, this card is entered into the CAS challenges on the Make it Crafty blog.  Cast Shadows and Shaker Cards.

Coloured with Copics.

Busy card week

It's always fun to colour and I try to do it regularly as it satisfies my painting "itch" and is instant gratification.  It's even more exciting when I actually get my image on a card lol.

So, I've made 3 birthday cards this last couple weeks, only one of which I can show as the others are for my husband and friend at the end of the month.  I've done a wedding card.  An anniversary card (more than a month ahead of time and again can't show it... but it's cute and uses some awesome TiddlyInks images).  And my progressive challenge for the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook group.

Oh... and I've designed a couple different card classes for my Stampin' Up girls.

A "Themed" Wedding Card

A wedding card for a friend's son and his fiance.  I had a few meltdowns on this one lol.  A card base, sheet of paper and a few images made it to the paper recycle before I finally took charge and got down to it.  Yes, they apparently love Young Frankenstein, Halloween and all things ghoulish.  I'll stare at it for a few days and decide whether or not it needs any tweaking or do-overs before I package it up for mailing lol.

The image is, of course, a Simply B Stamps image.  Coloured with copics.
