Pink?!

Yes, my project is decidedly pink lol.  It's not usually "in my wheelhouse" and I have to really think about it as I colour and design but I think you'll agree that it suits the image.

Meet Abbie.  She is by Conie Fong.  I've created my project with her to enter our group's Facebook challenge of "anything goes".  Conie's images are timeless and were sold through Sweet Pea Stamps.  However, Sweet Pea has closed their doors so Conie has created a Facebook Group, Conie Fong Art & Design, where we can share our love of her images and there will soon be an Etsy Shop where we can still buy the images.

Coloured with Copics.  Scrapbook paper, doily and the little dew drops are from my stash and cardstock is current and retired from Stampin' Up.  Embossing folders, punches and dies from SU.

What better image to use for another Christmas card for my special guy than Mistletoe from Kenny K Stamps? (he loved it by the way)

So, I am entering this card in Challenge #209 at Kenny K's Krafty Krew Challenge blog.

New Year fun

Cute as a Button has some oh-so-cute new images (ALL Francesca's images are cute.  I'm a bit of a fan lol ;-) ).  I fell in love with and had to have a couple of the "New Year" images.  What I love about these is that you really could create something other than New Year projects with 'em.  Celebrations, thank you for hosting a party, birthday, late birthday...  You could crop them and just use the gorgeous faces... the possibilities are endless.

So here are the "colourings" and I hope I can make some time to make some projects/cards with 'em (but the immediate future needs to involve some Christmas decorating as the time is getting very near!).

FBF's image is Do Not Open 'Til Christmas Sassy.  Such a pretty image.  I went with the Christmas season for my project however... wouldn't this image be adorable on a Birthday card, Valentine's card or "just 'cause" card?  Love it.

There is a Progressive Challenge posted monthly on the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook Group.  The image is free by request and then, if you create something with the current month's freebie, the next will be free and so on...

This month is a so-cute image called Sassy Pin up Santa.  I've created a Christmas tag with her.
