I couldn't help myself so thought I'd play with texture on the bear so I did 1) Straight Blending (girl with orange shirt); 2) Colourless Blender on a Rag (girl with pink shirt); and 3) Stippling (girl with green shirt)

We all need a little tranquility

Ohmigoodness... I've been absent for quite awhile. I apologize but there has been a LOT going on in my life, least of which was my still healing right wrist/hand.

We all need a little kindness right now and maybe even to de-stress. What better way then to pick up your colouring tools of choice and colour a little Meditate girl?!

A Little Halloween Birthday Fun

I had a lot of fun playing with my Silly Monsters stamp set this week from Your Next Stamp. I also used the Dot-tastic Circle from Your Next Stamp... love their products!!!

I've been suffering a creative dry spell, for almost 2 months, not because I lost my mojo but because I broke my right wrist (yes, I'm right handed). I'm now "bionic" (titanium plate and screws put me back together) and really needed to see if I could still colour after the cast removal. I did wait a few days before I picked up my markers lol. I will admit, it was not an easy or pain-free task, especially because I was not using my beloved Copics and the markers I chose have a very tight fit. But I persevered and was left feeling quite satisfied with my accomplishment. I do so love this stamp set and it was just what the doctor ordered to make me feel I'm on the mend.

So today, I created a card with one of the monsters I coloured up. I thought he'd make a cute Birthday card with a Halloween theme. I coloured up another that I'm going to make into another card and then hope to offer it as a class at my local scrapbooking store, Crop A While.

So, without further adieu, here is my card (don't judge me on the photography/editing... this girl can only do so much right now and is trying hard to realize her limitations 😉).

I've got it bad

I am so in love with the Twistoon Gnomes. I must be... I'm a colourist and have avoided the gnome craze 'til now and I just can't get enough of these ones. I'm in "hook, line and sinker".

So here is the latest on my table. Say hello to Gnome Tower. This would be fabulous on a slimline card so I've sized it accordingly (it's printed at approx. 7-1/2" tall and 2-1/2" wide).

The Gnomes have arrived at Twistoon

Well, I'm hooked lol. I didn't think Gnomes were my "thang". As my son would say... "meh". But I'm in "hook, line and sinker" on these Twistoon Gnomes... they definitely have my 💓 and I will be picking up a few more as the artist has created many more.

Cards for Ally - Instagram Hop

Ally Santaclara was a beloved friend of many in the papercrafting community. Her sudden passing in December left many of us with broken hearts. One day we were chatting online and the next... she was gone. But not forgotten.

Her posts and messages were always popping with personality and friendship. Her design creations reflected that warmth. Andy, her cat (a female cat named after a tv personality, Anderson Cooper - I'm sure there's more to the story lol), often made appearances and I looked forward to those posts too. I'm sorry that I didn't get to know her even more or meet in real life.

But this is a celebration of her life. We've banded together to share our cards and creations in memory of Ally. And... as Ally's FB and Instagram pages were titled "Can't Wait for Friday", we thought posting on a Friday was a fitting tribute to our sweet friend.

Ally and I shared a love of colouring, Copic Markers and furbabies 💖. I picked an image of a girl crafting (or trying lol) with her beloved cat and coloured it up with my Copics. I tried to give the cat a tabby look like her Andy.
